Another rise in Grampian coronavirus cases

THE number of confirmed cases of coronavirus across Grampian rose by 11 today, bringing the total to 782.

The rise was half that reported yesterday in the Scottish Government's daily update. Yesterday Grampian's positive cases total stood at 771.

Some 97 people were in NHS Grampian hospitals overnight with either confirmed or suspected coronavirus, with 10 in intensive care.

Scotland-wide, 51,499 people have now been tested for coronavirus. Of those, 10,721 were positive.

The figures show that 1,332 people in Scotland who have tested positive for COVID-19 have died.

The weekly coronavirus deaths by Scottish health board figures will be updated tomorrow, Wednesday, April 29. The most recent update shows 90 people have died from COVID-19 across the NHS Grampian area.
