The Careers Transition Partnership (CPT) team are set to hold the CTP North of Scotland Employment Event on Wednesday, October 26 from 1pm to 4pm at Kinloss.

Over 20 Forces-friendly employers are scheduled to be there on the day, including Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) North of Scotland Armed Forces Champion lead Claire Watt and her team.

She said: "As part of the Armed Forces Covenant, the DWP has initiatives that help current and former Armed Forces personnel, and their families, access Jobcentre Plus services.

"When you make a Universal Credit claim you can now add if you are currently serving or have served in the UK Armed Forces. Please speak to your work coach who can contact the Armed Forces Champions team to discuss additional support options."

Both local and national employers will be in attendance at the event which represents an excellent networking opportunity for those who are ready to apply for jobs as well as those simply researching what is available on the job market.

CTP staff will be on hand to answer any other questions veterans have about their resettlement or training.

To book a place on at the event and to view a full list of employers attending, visit https://www.ctp.org.uk or phone 0203 162 4410
