Police were told they were not welcome after they were called to a disturbance at an Elgin house.
Connor Hay tried to close his front door on officers during the evening of July 19 last year in Chapel Court.
Speaking at Inverness Sheriff Court, fiscal depute Emily Hood said: "The accused was then taken hold of after he tried to push an officer away."
The 23-year-old was arrested and taken to Elgin Police Station.
Ms Hood said: "He continued to act in a belligerent way, was aggressive towards officers, and spat on the floor."
Hay was placed in a cell where he obscured the camera to prevent it monitoring him.
Ms Hood said: "When officers went in, he took up a fighting stance and struck out at one, causing an injury and then punched another on the head."
Sheriff Gary Aitken delayed passing sentence until August 24 while reports are prepared into Hay's background.
