REVELLERS will be treated to an exhilarating hootenanny when award-winning neo-trad group Elephant Sessions perform in Moray later this month.

The Highland quintet will bring their own brand of trad, funk and electronica to Findhorn's Universal Hall after a 2020 lockdown-related postponement.

In 2018, the band clinched the Live Act of the Year award at the BBC Scots Trad Music Awards and received a nomination for Best Group in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

They have gone on to headline Celtic Connections and play festivals like Glastonbury since releasing their debut album, The Elusive Highland Beauty, back in 2014.

Dancing, loudness and flashing lights will all feature at the event.

As per current guidance, there will be no social distancing. People do not need to wear masks while dancing, but those seated will need to wear masks unless they are exempt or while drinking. Only bottled water can be taken into the venue.

The gig will be held at the Universal Hall on Thursday, December 16, at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £16 seated, £14 dancing (non-seated wristband), £14 concessions and £12 for under-16s (plus 10 per cent online booking fee). Get tickets at universalhall.co.uk or on the door.
