BALLINDALLOCH post office will temporarily close next month for work to change the layout.

The service at Ballindalloch Shop will be modernised to offer Post Office services at the retail counter.

The branch will temporarily close on Wednesday, June 23, at 1pm and is due to reopen on Friday, June 25, at 9am.

New earlier opening hours have also been announced for the convenience of customers. These will be Monday to Friday: 7am-6pm and Saturday: 8am-6pm.

David Duff, Post Office network provision lead, said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.

"The safety of our customers is paramount. Therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily."

During the refit alternative branches include post offices at Marypark and Glenlivet.
