RAF Lossiemouth welcomes record number of people to friends and families day





More families than ever enjoyed RAF Lossiemouth’s annual Friends and Families Day on Saturday, July 13.

Over 4500 service personnel, families, and guests made their way to the station to enjoy a fun day of attractions and air displays.

The growth in guests reflects the increase in personnel serving at the station.

There was also entertainment from RAF Lossiemouth Pipes and Drums, RAF Lossiemouth Voluntary Band, and Lossiemouth Military Wives Choir.

Group Captain Jim Lee, Station Commander, RAF Lossiemouth, said: “We’re delighted that Lossie Fest 24 has seen more families through the gate than ever before.
