National Big Help Out volunteering extravaganza set for June dates

GROUPS and individuals across the north-east are being urged to sign up for this year’s Big Help Out campaign.

This will see millions of people up and down the country come together over June 7-9 to dedicate their time to helping charity.

The objective of the Big Help Out is to raise awareness of volunteering throughout the UK and provide opportunities for people to experience volunteering and make a difference in their communities. This is not a profit-making or fundraising initiative.

Schools and teachers are being encouraged to support children and young people to take part. Resources are available at https://www.thebighelpout.org.uk/schools/

Participants are urged to click a selfie and share who they are helping out using the AR filter on Facebook or Instagram.
