Normally at this time of year, Bishopmill Primary would be delivering its annual Health Week.

This year, although school is out due to coronavirus, the staff are still managing to deliver it albeit virtually!

This year it is taking a different format - it is spread over two weeks, and started on Monday, June 22.

The committee is Hayley Spencer, Kevin Stuart and Claire McNab with support from other members of staff.

Claire McNab, specialist PE teacher, is organising a virtual sports day for July 1 - the children will complete set tasks, 30 seconds for each task, and send in their scores.

Children will be able to send in photos of their challenges and they will be Tweeted.

The school is being well supported locally and from afar and is very grateful for the help.

Oakwood Cookery School is providing videos to cook along to.

Sandra Cruickshank from Moray Leisure centre is going to be doing a workout via video.

Kenny Wilson, also known as the Northern Body Coach, is doing some fitness stuff.

The Sandy Gray School of Dance and Theatre in Lincolnshire, run by Mrs Spencer's sister, is doing a dance class.

The P2/3 school football team has done some videos.

Richard Hastings, ex Canada international and ICT player has done a skills video and a question/answer session. The children have sent their questions in already.

Amy Muir, the first Rangers women's player of the year (last year), and present Hibs Women's Player and Scotland international, has sent some skills and challenge clips.

Jamie Oliver's charity BiteBack were going to do something but they stopped filming the week before, however, they promised a shout out. The school has also been in touch with Aberdeen FC for support.
