Events near Moray: Body found on Nairn beach

Police have confirmed that a body was found in Nairn yesterday morning.

The alarm was raised at 7.30am on Friday after which the police and coastguard were sent to the scene.

An area from Marine Cottages and the Promenade was cordoned off.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30am on Thursday, July 21, 2022 police received a report that a body of a man had been found on the beach at Nairn at Marine Road.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
