Elgin Indoor Bowling Club raises funds for Scottish Charity Air Ambulance with festive match

AN ELGIN bowling club has raised funds for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance with a special match.

Elgin Indoor Bowling Club raised £500 for the charity with a bowling match, which took place between Christmas and New Year.

The money was handed over to Scott Russell of Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance.

Club president Joan Glen said: "I would like to thank all club members who participated by entering the competition, donating raffle prizes, buying raffle tickets and by gifting donations to this worthy cause.

"We hope that this money will help contribute to the life-saving services that Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance provides."

Joan thanked Willie Laing for organising the event and Isabel Laing for organising the catering.

Jim Henderson made the bowling teams and Christine Maclellan for organising the raffle and looking after the office.
