Premier Lossiemouth on Macdonald Drive posted a CCTV image, taken at 4.42am this morning (May 13), on social media which appears to show two people attacking the shop's front door.

In a statement, a Premier Lossiemouth spokesperson said: "Massive apologies to our customers today for any disruption caused by our door.

"Sadly, for a second time in nearly two months our front doors have been vandalised for attempted entry.

"We’ll be working with the police with our CCTV to try and find who is responsible.

"If anyone has any information regarding the incident please get in touch with ourselves or the police.

"Really disappointed to have to post this, but this is just absolutely mindless."

Police confirmed that they had been called to a reported break-in at the shop.

They said officers attended and encouraged anybody with information to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.40am on Saturday, May 13, police received a report of a break-in at Macdonald Drive, Lossiemouth.

"Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information should contact 101 with reference number 0748 of May 13."
