BREAKING: Police incident at Elgin Bus Station causes major delays

ELGIN Bus Station is still cordoned off following a "police incident", as bus services have been disrupted, it has been confirmed.

Bus firm Stagecoach issued an update on social media at 10.30am, which advised passengers "to seek alternative transport".

A spokesperson for the company said: "Due to a police incident at Elgin Bus Station, there is major disruption to our service.

"We have tried to run some services, but would advise passengers to seek alternative transport."

An earlier update posted at 5.46am read: "Elgin Bus station is currently closed until further notice.

"Services are running to timetable but are subject to delays and last-minute cancellations.

"Thank you for your understanding and co-operation more will be provided throughout the day."
