BREAKING: Snow chaos shuts Moray schools early

SCHOOLS across Moray have been forced to close early today amid heavy rural snowfall.
Rural schools across the West, South and East of Moray have sent children home as snowy conditions continue, according to the Moray Council service status website.
The schools closed by weather are Keith Grammar School, Craigellachie Primary School, Rothes Primary School, Aberlour Primary School, Glenlivet Primary School, Tomintoul Primary School, Knockando Primary School, Mortlach Primary School, Milne's High School, Newmill Primary, Botriphnie Primary School, Rothiemay Primary School and Logie Primary School.
Transport for Speyside High School, Dallas Primary and Milnes Primary has also been impacted.

Closures
- Milne's High School closed due to adverse weather conditions, from noon for bus pupils and 1.10pm for all others.
- Keith Grammar closed at 12.45pm to all pupils.
All pupils who rely on school transport will get their usual bus home, as long as it was able to take pupils into school today.
All pupils can access their learning online this afternoon.
- Botriphnie Primary School closed at 1pm.
- Rothiemay Primary School closed.
- Craigellachie Primary was closed early due to the weather conditions.
Parents have been asked to collect their children from school.
Details of remote learning will be sent out to families.
Information relating to the rearrangment of the school show will be sent out soon.
- Rothes Primary School closed at 12.45pm due to "the ongoing heavy snow and deteriorating road conditions".
Pupils were given lunch before heading home.
Parents can collect pupils from the school office.
The afternoon Christmas Show Performance is postponed until next week.
- Aberlour Primary School closed at 12.30pm today.
Parents have been asked to make arrangements to collect your child from school.
- Glenlivet Primary closed at 1pm.
- Tomintoul School closed at 1pm.
- Knockando Primary School closed at 12pm today due to heavy snow.
- Mortlach Primary School closed at 12.30pm today.
Pupils were given lunch before heading home.
Parents can collect pupils from the office.
- Logie Primary School was closed from the start of the day "due to the snowy and icy conditions around the grounds".
Remote learning will be provided.

Transport issues
- Speyside High School, buses Tomintoul F and Edinvillie Bus J are not running.
- Dallas Primary school transport is not running this afternoon.
All parents have been contacted.
- Milnes Primary, early bus collection, as emailed to parents.
- Newmill Primary is closed to bus pupils.
It will be open until 3pm for all other pupils.
