A brother and sister are planning a parachute jump together next week to raise cash for a Moray charity.

.

John Geddes and his big sister Paula McBryde will be launching themselves from an aircraft to help Outfit Moray.

John, who lives in Lossiemouth, has been the charity's part-time bookkeeper since January.

During that time he says he's seen first hand the difference it makes to the lives of local young people and

their families.

That's why, when the fundraising opportunity came up, he jumped at it.

The 43-year-old said: "I must be off my head, but I am really looking forward to it.

"This isn’t your average brother/sister outing."

Not one to miss out, when Paula heard about John's parachute jump she immediately wanted take part too.

Soon the pair were challenging each other to see who could raise the most for Outfit Moray.

Tony Brown, the charity's CEO, said: "We are always hugely grateful when people support our work

delivering life-changing outdoor learning for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in Moray.

"John and Paula's parachute jump is a definitely first for us.

"We are all really looking forward to hearing they get on.

"But, more importantly, we are hoping John makes it back to the office in one piece!"

John and Paula will be doing their tandem parachute jump with Skydrive St Andrews on Sunday, September 12.
