The team will get a busy two-week schedule on Tuesday, December 13 when they will be taking a festively decorated fire engine – along with plenty of collection buckets – out and about on the streets of Portgordon. Their efforts will be brought to a close on Friday, December 23 when they head for the Highfield Road/Archibald Grove area.

Proceeds from the collection will be split between local good causes and the Firefighters' Charity.

Last year saw the firefighters smash their fundraising record, raking in £7374.68 thanks to the generosity of local people, outstripping the previous total of £6300 set in 2019.

The collection schedule (running from 6.30pm-9.30pm) is: Tuesday, December 13 – Portgordon;

Wednesday, December 14 – Buckpool south of Netherha Road; Thursday, December 15 –Buckpool north of Netherha Road; Friday, December 16 – Buckie central; Tuesday, December 20 – Findochty; Wednesday, December 21 – Portessie/Rathven; Thursday, December 22 – Milton Drive/ Douglas Crescent/Mill Crescent/Well Road/Wallace Avenue/Bruce Avenue etc; Friday, December 23 – Highfield Road/Cameron Crescent/Steinbeck Road/Poppy Road/Burnbank/Spey Drive/High Street/Fairway Road/Binn View/Work Way/Whispering Meadows/Archibald Grove/Regency Road.

There may be last minute changes due to call outs/weather and so on people are advised to check out Buckie fire station's Facebook page for the latest updates.
