THERE was a very quiet week in store on the fish landings front at Buckie Harbour last week.

Just 35 boxes of fish/prawns/squid were landed, along with 244 bags of clams. This compares to 196 boxes and no bags the previous week.

The vessels landing were Eternal Light, Georgia Dawn and Lily Oak VI.

A single cargo vessel called at Buckie last week, the MV Filia Ariea (Dutch). She imported approximately 2300 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on January 25 and is due to sail light to Skoda (Norway) tomorrow (Monday) afternoon.
