A MAN has been charged with theft after more than £100,000 of jewellery was stolen from a home in Buckie.

Police Scotland say the jewellery was reported stolen from a property in Cathedral Street between March 8 and 9 and enquiries have been ongoing since.

The 30-year-old man is scheduled to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court in the near future.

DC Ryan Rozanski said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who have assisted with this investigation."
