Buckie roadshow to highlight community funding opportunities

FUNDING opportunities for community and voluntary groups are to come under the spotlight in Buckie next week.

Thursday, October 27 will see a funding roadshow, run by tsiMoray, roll up to the Fishermen's Hall in the town. The drop-in will offer a chance for groups to pop along and discover what funding may be available to them.

Four main funds are set to the highlighted.

The Just Transition Fund has a total pot of £50,000 to help projects which will contribute to Moray's journey to net zero. as a Participatory Budget Fund, a public vote will decide which projects get the funding. The fund will be launched by Moray MSP and Minister for Just Transition, Employment and Fair work Richard Lochhead at a session in Elgin Town Hall on Friday, October 28 with doors opening at 3pm for a 3.30pm start

Also set to feature at the roadshow are: Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund – For grassroots groups working to proactively improve health and wellbeing; National Lottery PGM Fund – Grants of up to £2000 available for community projects; Moray Community Local Action Fund – For projects aiming to help build greener and happier communities.

The drop-in session is set to run from 3pm through to 8pm.
