BUSINESS Gateway Moray has embraced every technology it can to assist local firms at this time of national crisis.

As Moray businesses struggle to cope with the rapidly changing impact of the coronavirus outbreak, Business Gateway Moray says its advisers have speedily altered the way they deliver help through virtual appointments, webinars and platforms such as Skype.

The body is also supporting local business owners who may feel overwhelmed in the situation.

Its advisers will provide businesses with regular updates through social media platforms.

Previously planned workshops will be available as webinars, and a suite of new resources have been developed to support businesses trying to adapt to the very difficult circumstances. These include a guide and tutorial on business continuity planning, advice on shifting work to the home environment, how best to use digital channels to communicate with customers and employees, and support for those experiencing stress and anxiety.

Craig Robertson, from Elgin-based Business Gateway Moray, said: "We want to reassure business owners that Business Gateway will continue to help them throughout the current crisis – whether that’s on the phone, a video call, a virtual webinar or through practical guidance on our website.

"We know that this situation feels confusing or overwhelming for business owners, and that having someone to speak to can be really helpful.

"We will continue to provide new digital resources, expand our delivery of virtual services and, crucially, give businesses reassurance and advice throughout the coronavirus outbreak."

For practical advice and guidance, business owners can email moray@bgateway.com or call an adviser directly on weekdays between 9am-5pm on 07976 825388 or 07976 825390. The local web page is at https://www.bgateway.com/local-offices/moray/local-support.
