The Moray Walking & Outdoor Festival is looking for help in making next summer's event the best yet.

Over the past decade the festival has included everything from outdoor children’s theatre performances to surfing, poetry and wild swimming – alongside a wide range of walks.

Kath Todd, its chairperson, said: "We're looking for all sorts of events which include culture, art, history, nature, food, hobbies and everything in between.

"In addition, we want events which allow everyone to access and experience the outdoors, regardless of ability, age and walk of life.

"You don’t have to be an adrenaline junkie to enjoy the festival."

The Moray Walking & Outdoor Festival, which is exactly six months away, takes advantage of the long midsummer days to show off the very best of Moray's historical, cultural and natural landscape.

Unlike other outdoor festivals, it's not run by the local authority, but by a small group of volunteers from the Moray Way Association and numerous local experts who provide the various events.

The organisers are keen to hear from any individual or groups who'd like to run an event next year at some point between Friday, June 14 and onday, June 24.
