SPOOKY scenes are on show at an Elgin care home in the run up to Halloween and an open invitation has been issued for locals to experience the display.
Andersons Care Home, on Institution Road, has been decorated ahead of October 31 and residents and staff are entering into the spirit of the seasonal celebration.
Events coordinator Joan Cowe and residents have weaved a magical spell over the home and said locals can pop in during day-time hours to have a look for themselves.
It follows a ghoulish fundraising walk last Friday, led by Linda Dean of Elgin Ghost Tours, around Elgin’s Eerie East End.
The theme throughout the night-time tour was the story of Anderson's history, featuring Marjorie Gilzean and her son Major General Andrew Anderson.
It raised £210 for the care home's Lift Appeal, which was recently launched.
Mrs Cowe said: "Our lifts are becoming a little antiquated so we are raising £120,000 for a new one. The ghost tour was one of our first fundraising events and we have lots more planned over the coming year."
Meanwhile, tickets remain available for this weekend's performance of The General, which is on show at Elgin Town Hall on Friday and Saturday.
The musical tells the rags to riches tale of General Anderson and is being performed in support of the established Moray care home.
Subject to availability, tickets will be available on the door at the town hall, with performances starting at 7.30pm both nights.
