The duo have eight UK top 10 singles between them – and currently have a combined 10 million monthly listeners on music streaming app Spotify.

They will join Five and B*Witched, the first bands announced, along with 1960s acts Bay City Rollers, Nazareth and Sweet at the festival on April 29 and 30, 2023.

Eurodance act Alice Deejay – formed in the Netherlands in the late 1990s and fronted by Judith Anna Pronk – are most well-known for hit single 'Better Off Alone', which reached number two in the UK.

The Dutch group recently reformed after two decades away.

Cascada, formed in Germany in 2004 and fronted by Natalie Horler, are arguably even more successful – with five UK top 10 singles and one number one, with the instantly-recognisable 2009 song Evacuate The Dancefloor.

Such was the song's popularity, it knocked Michael Jackson off the top of the charts in the weeks after his death.

Cascada, who won the World Music Award in 2007 and have topped the charts in 20 countries worldwide, also includes producers and writers Yann Peifer (Yanou) and Manuel Reuter (Manian).

In 2013, the group performed for Germany at the grand final of Eurovision.

The two groups will bring a similar vibe and atmosphere as The Vengaboys brought to the 2022 running of MacMoray Festival.

Organiser Andy MacDonald said: "I’ve worked with Cascada a few times in the past and she knows how to bring a ridiculously energetic party vibe.

"Alice Deejay is the same. They will bring so much energy and I felt that bringing this type of dance music was the right thing to do.

"After the popularity of Vengaboys, I'm sure these two will bring a similar vibe.

"Again, similar to this year's event, there is something for everyone – with bands from the 60s right up to modern pop."

Cascada and Alice Deejay are the sixth and seventh acts announced for MacMoray, out of a total of 14 to be confirmed.

Andy confirmed that 35 per cent of standard weekend tickets have been sold already, with 55 per cent of VIP tickets snapped up. Day tickets will be released on January 6.
