CHARITIES are being urged to put themselves forward for a chance to benefit from Moray’s biggest black-tie event.

Some 320 local business representatives will gather at Gordon Castle, in Fochabers, for the Moray Chamber of Commerce 16th annual business dinner on October 4. Each year the chamber raises money for a local good cause. Last year’s chosen charity, CLAN Cancer Support, received £5,500 from the auction.

The charity must operate within Moray and demonstrate how their work benefits the community.

On the night, the chamber will celebrate good work by businesses in the area and culminate with the presentation of the Moray Chamber Business Award to the company which has made the biggest contribution to the local economy over the year.

When applying, charities are asked to outline how they would use the money to benefit communities as well as describe work that they already undertake.

Application forms can be found at www.moraychamber.co.uk or by emailing membership co-ordinator Callum McDonald at cmcdonald@moraychamber.co.uk.
