A CHARITY ladies day held in Lossiemouth has smashed through its £1000 target, gathering more than £1500 in total.

Hosted by Elle Adams at the Golf View Hotel in Lossie, the event attracted 59 guests and raised a grand total of £1543.39 for Alzheimers Scotland.

Robertson's construction donated £500 to the cause and Alzheimer Scotland Moray advisor Wendy Menzies gratefully received the cheque.

Last year, the same event raised £1000 for Oaks – and Elle's aim to smash the target has been achieved.

Tickets were £35 each. Guests received a bottle of Prosecco and had a selection on offer, and there was also a disco with live music, a selfie station and raffle tickets.

Speaking about the day, Elle said: "I had great time organising and planning the event. I planned to get more than I raised last year and I did that.

"The day went really well, the weather was gorgeous and there was lots of dancing and laughing."

Elle is hopeful the event will be back next year – and can keep growing and growing.
