The Christmas lights in the town of Wick are finally due to come down this weekend after being up three months longer than usual.

The delay is due to Covid-19 regulations and the fact that removing the decorations was not classed as essential.

Permission to remove them has now been given by Highland Council to all the communities in Caithness.
