CLASSIC car enthusiasts will have to get in gear to claim the last remaining spaces in CLAN's foodies' tour taking place this month.

Owners and fans of classic cars and motorbikes are invited to join the gastronomic charity drive around Moray on Sunday, June 29.

The sixth annual CLAN Cancer Support Cavalcade is a tour to tickle the senses in which participants enjoy stop-offs to taste some of the region's food and drink delights while taking in some of the area's most beautiful countryside.

A few spaces remain for CLAN's upcoming cavalcade.

The ride will set off after breakfast from Threaplands, Lhanbryde, and will call at Buckie seafood specialists Cluny Fish, Walkers Shortbread in Aberlour, award-winning organic cheese producer the Cheese Pantry at Ardersier, and Woodside Farm and Shop in Kinloss. Lunch will be at the Grantown East Station restaurant and the tour will return to Elgin for a celebratory supper at the Sunninghill Hotel.

More than 15 vehicles are signed up so far. There are still a small number of places left for the drive, which will raise money for CLAN Cancer Support.

A minimum of £35 in sponsorship is required to enter the CLAN Cavalcade and participants pay for their own meals.

The CLAN Elgin centre, on High Street, is open five days a week. It offers cancer support, information and complementary therapies, and holds a weekly coffee morning. CLAN services are also available in Buckie, Forres and Lossiemouth.

For more information or to sign up email elgin@clanhouse.org or call CLAN Elgin on 01343 544132.
