A large crowd gathered at the town square this morning to aid efforts to try and find the 54-year-old, who has been missing since Saturday, February 27 at around 11.30pm. He was last sighted in the Seatown area of Cullen and has neither been seen nor in contact with anyone since this time.

Concern has steadily been growing as to Mr Murray's welfare.

Sergeant Kate Costin of Elgin Police Station said: “It is out of character for Alan not to be in contact with his family and we are growing increasingly concerned for him.

“I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him at any time since Saturday night or who has any other information to come forward.

“We would also urge people who live around the Grant Street area in Cullen to review any private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage you may have. I would also ask anyone who has a shed or outbuilding where someone could seek shelter to check this."

Mr Murray is described as around 5ft 10ins tall, stocky build with fair hair. He was last seen wearing a pink polo shirt with an orange snood and jeans.

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 2576 of February 27, 2022.

Mr Murray's disappearance sparked a multi-agency search earlier week around the Cullen area and further afield.
