Coronation festivities to shut roads in Buckie and Findochty

CORONATION celebrations will see two Buckie area roads temporarily closed at the weekend.

On Saturday, an area of Buckie's High Street will be shut from 10am to 9pm to allow for festivities.

In Findochty on the same day, the link road between Commercial Street and Jubilee Terrace will be closed from 10am through to 6pm. Drivers are advised to use Jubilee Terrace to circumvent the closure.

In Buckie, finishing on Monday, May 8, a prohibition of waiting order is in force between Numbers 25 and 35. This is due to works being undertaken by Scottish Water.

The Findochty Harbour road running between the junctions of Commercial Street and Main Street is due to remain closed until May 31 as works to repair and resurface the road are undertaken. An alternative route via Commercial Street is advised.

Scottish Water are undertaking road works on East Church Street, Buckie which are due to be completed by Friday, May 5.

More Scottish Roadworks are due to start this Tuesday at Low Street and run for an estimated eight working days.

SGN are due to start work outside 59 South Street, Fochabers by Wednesday, May 3 lasting for up to 11 working days.
