Coronavirus in Moray: Two more cases confirmed

A total of 1972 tests were carried out yesterday across the whole Scotland through NHS labs, bringing the total which have been performed to 67,097.

Of these 54,173 were confirmed negative, while 12,924 were positive.

The latest figure, published yesterday, for the death toll across Scotland is 2795.

The number of confirmed cases across the NHS Grampian region, which includes Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire as well as Moray, now stands at 973.

At midnight last night 93 patients were being treated in hospital for coronavirus, 11 of them in intensive care.

Weekly figures released yesterday showed:

Aberdeenshire (population: 261,500) had 88 deaths from 359 confirmed cases.

Aberdeen (pop: 227,500) had 63 deaths from 543 cases.

Highland (pop: 235,500) had 33 deaths from 178 cases.

Meanwhile, Moray (pop: 95,520) has had 8 deaths from its 44 cases.
