During the week Josh continuously cycled a route between Peterculter, Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater.

He was supported by a team which included a massage therapist, nutritionist and a physiotherapist.

Guiness World Records have now validated and approved the world record.

It was Josh's second attempt.

Back in April he became injured after having cycled 1213 miles.

So far his latest effort has raised more than £11,000 for charity.

The previous longest distance travelled within a week was the 2177 miles achieved by Australian Jack Thomson who cycled in Sevilla, Spain, during September 2020.
