THE clock is ticking for Buckie residents to have their say on how the town could be improved.
The A Better Buckie campaign – the central aim of the Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIP) for Buckie – are running the multi-themed People's Survey until the January 21.
Results from the survey will help drive forward the LOIP's expanding remit, as Moray Council community support officer Tracey Rae explained.
"Originally when the LOIP was launched it was just for the central and eastern areas of the town.
"However, it soon became clear that many of the issues were affecting the whole town, not just certain parts of it.
"Using the responses we get from the survey we're aiming to make a plan for the whole town, so obviously the more responses we get, the better and more accurate it'll be.
"There're three main themes to the survey – economy, welfare and well being, and place."
Ms Rae added that since LOIP was launched in Buckie a number of organisations had used the locality plan as evidence to secure funding, an outcome she described as "fantastic".
