Drugs arrest on Elgin road

A MOTORIST is anticipated to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court tomorrow to answer a charge of driving while under the influence of drugs.

A 34-year-old man was stopped while on the A96 in the East Road area of Elgin following a call from a concerned member of the public at 6.15pm on Friday.

He has also been charged with the alleged possession and supply of illegal drugs.

Drugs including heroin and diazepam with an estimated street value of £900 were seized following a subsequent search of an address in the town.
