A group of local residents are organising an Earth March along Forres High Street to call for ambitious action on the climate crisis.

Families and people of all ages and all walks of life are being asked to come along on Friday, September 24.

Organisations are asked to carry banners bearing their names to demonstrate the full breadth of local groups in Moray calling for action.

The march will set off at 2pm from the Thomson Memorial obelisk next to Forres Post Office.

It will end at Grant Park, with a pause around the Tolbooth to allow an opportunity for speeches, performances and singing.

Volunteers to help with stewarding are asked to get in touch at earthmarchforres@gmail.com

Ideas and any questions can also be posted to the same address.

The Earth March is being held ahead of the UN COP26 climate conference in Glasgow this coming November.
