The former Fairground Attraction lead singer is one of the country’s top singer songwriters.

She will headline the Saturday night concert at the festival in Fochabers which is from July 26-28.

Speyfest newcomers Fara will support Eddi on the Saturday. They are three fiddlers and a pianist from Orkney.

Eddi is a three-time Brit Award winner and has appeared at Speyfest before.

Party favourites Blazin’ Fiddles are making a welcome return to the festival as they headline the opening Friday night concert.

They will be supported by up and coming young talent Iona Fyfe, from Huntly, who was Scots Singer of the Year in the MG Alba Scots Trad Fest Music Awards in 2018.

The Elephant Sessions, who appeared recently in a Scottish beer ad, will be cranking up the energy at The Stomp along with the Mark Winchester Band on the Friday night.

Homegrown talents Tour Bus Fortune and electronic Celtic fusion band Niteworks will be stomping on the Saturday night.

Orcadian supergroup Saltfishforty are on stage on Sunday, along with the Mark Winchester Band, Tour Bus Fortune and Bombskare, whose ‘sky juggernaut’ performances are famed across the country and are set to whip the audience into a pogo-ing frenzy.

It all adds up to the best in traditional and contemporary music over three days in Fochabers, and the village will be buzzing in that time.

There is more to Speyfest than just the music, with a huge craft fair, gin and whisky tasting with Avva Scottish Gin and The Macallan.

The search is also on for the Speyfest Young Entertainer of the Year with the first heats on April 28 at Bellie Church..
