A repair shop in Buckie is offering a collection service for faulty electric goods from the homes of people who are self-isolating.

North East Traders will collect TVs, phones, laptops, iPads and tablets, then return them once they are mended.

What's more the store is also offering to do a spot of shopping for older people who are nervous about leaving the house.

Manager Ben Brown said: "We have decided to help out as its a hard time right now.

"If folk are stuck at home then they're going to rely on their TVs and phones more than ever.

"We can even arrange to pick items up from outside on their doorstep if necessary.

"Also, for folk who are frightened we can bring them some shopping.

"It's obviously a difficult time. We want to do what we can to help people in the community.

"In the meantime, we hope everyone gets well soon and stays safe."

North East Traders are on 01542 831272.
