A 80-page photography book dedicated solely to Elgin is now available to buy online

.

Several local photographers have contributed to Elgin: An In-Camera Book, which has been produced by husband and wife team Colin and Eithne Nutt.

In the past, the couple who live on Academy Street have produced more than 40 books celebrating various aspects of the beauty of Scotland.

Together, these have sold more than 250,000 copies.

The couple take practically all the photos they use themselves.

However, after hitting upon the idea of producing a book about their hometown, the couple thought it would be great to make it a real community affair,

As a result, they asked locals to send them their own pictures of Elgin.

The bulk of the new book still contains photos taken by the couple.

However, in addition, it also includes some fabulous images captured by Barry Whyte, Joanna Barnes, Lorraine Paterson, Ross Hunter, Scott Innes and Sheila Forbes, plus the folk at the Moray Motor Museum.

Eithne said: "We both really loved doing this book.

"Every time you go near Elgin Cathedral you see something different.

"But there's so much more to the town than just that great historic building.

"In creating this book we've learned so much about Elgin and about its history.

"If you really look there are so many little landmarks and features around the town that most people have probably never noticed before.

"I won't say too much and give the game away, but go take a proper look at the Yeadon's building once the lockdown is over.

"That's just on example of many."
