AN Elgin author is set to host a book signing to thank locals for their support in buying his new release.

After a delay of more than four months, Lee Sansum's book The Bodyguard, detailing his time watching over some of the world's most famous names – most notably Princess Diana – was published on August 31.

Sales have been "fantastic", especially locally, said his wife Kate Sansum, with Lee looking to thank Moray residents for that.

The Bearded Chef has offered to host the signing, which will took place from noon until 2pm on Saturday, October 22.

"It'll be a bit of a social event, people who have bought a book can come, have a glass of wine and chat away," Kate said.

There may be another book signing to follow, with a documentary covering Lee's work as bodyguard for Princess Diana coming later this year.

The Bodyguard is available to buy via Amazon. It's rated 4.4 stars out of 5, with five reviews.
