Elgin Indian restaurant Panache celebrates win

Panache in Elgin has been acclaimed as the best curry restaurant in the north of Scotland.

The winners were announced on Monday night at the third Scottish Asian Food Awards, which involved a black-tie ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.

Jabir Hussain is the manager of Panache, which stands on South Street, Elgin.

He said: "We want to say thank-you to our customers because we get a lot of support from the local community.

"We're very grateful to everyone and to our staff who are a great team."

The Asian Kitchen in Inverurie was declared Scotland's best Chinese restaurant at the same awards.
