Elgin Library hosting four well-known writers

Four top authors are set to appear at Elgin Library during the course of September.
Crime writers Lin Anderson and Fiona Cummins will be talking from 6.30pm on Tuesday, September 5, about their latest publications, each of which are set in Scotland.
Then, on Friday, September 8, Shona MacLean is going to speak about her novel ‘The Bookseller of Inverness’ which is set in the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden.
The final session from 11am on Tuesday, September 26, will see Sally Magnusson talk about 'Music in the Dark'.
Her historical novel focuses on one woman’s struggles amid the shadow of the Highland clearances.
The library service is working in conjunction with both Yeadon's and the Elgin branch of Waterstone to stage the talks.
Kathleen Robertson, who chairs Moray Council's education committee, said: "It’s exciting to work in partnership with local business to give people in Moray the opportunity to hear directly from some of Scotland’s top authors.
"To learn about the process of such inspired writing and see the faces behind the print is an opportunity not to be missed for any fan."
Lin Anderson is the creator of the Rhona MacLeod forensic scientist novels and co-founder of the Bloody Scotland crime-writing festival
Fiona Cummins is an award-winning former journalist turned best-selling mystery writer.
Shona MacLean is the author of the Alexander Seaton series and the Damian Seeker novels.
Sally Magnusson is a journalist and broadcaster as well as a writer.
