Elgin man captures partial solar eclipse with refracting telescope

AN ELGIN man has managed to capture a snap of a partial solar eclipse which was visible from the town.

Alan Tough's photograph was shot through a refracting telescope complete with a solar filter.

He said this was "one of the clearest photos" he got of the partial solar eclipse over Elgin.

The solar eclipse was also captured by Grampian Online's editor using Infra-red filtration.
