Elgin man John Dow found 'safe and well'

AN Elgin man who hadn't been seen for a week has been traced "safe and well".

John Dow (66) hadn't been seen since December 21 and police said on the afternoon of Thursday, December 28, that they were growing "increasingly concerned".

Late last night, though, the police confirmed that Mr Dow has been found.

A Police statement said: "John Dow, who had been reported missing from Elgin, has been traced safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who helped with our earlier appeal."
