Also joining festivities will be a range of charity stalls, crafters, great food and drink, and three BMX stunt shows.

And local performers including Elgin Pipe Band and the Moray Concert Brass Band are set to be a hit, alongside Made for Music, the June Roy Dancers, Out of the Darkness Theatre Group, St Giles Theatre Group, Active Gymnastics Group, West of 60 and David Massan.

Motorfun will run from Noon to 4pm on the day, and will be opened by Lord Lieutenant of Moray Major General Seymour Monro.

President Michelle Anderson said “We have a strong team, under the leadership of Andy Jamieson, who have been planning and organising this event since last September, and are confident of putting on a great afternoon for our community.

“All we need now is for the sun to shine.

“We might even have some activities planned for all the Dads joining us with it being Fathers Day.”

Those keen to show their cars as part of Motorfun were also encouraged to buy tickets, for £10, online at TicketSource.
