A nine-bedroom property next to Elgin's Cooper Park has gone on the market for £1million.

North College House is on King Street, just a stone's throw from the cathedral.

Built in the 16th century, the B-listed home comes complete with an enclosed garden, measuring about 1.7 acres.

Five of the double-bedrooms are in the main house.

Another four double-bedrooms are sited in what's termed The Wing, a potentially self-contained cottage.

This is attached to the main house by a interconnecting door but has its own driveway.

In the 1920s, the house was owned by Sir George Cooper, the philanthropist who donated the park to the town.
