A local steering group has been working to promote Fairtrade for more than a decade.

Members, chaired by Eddie Wallace, share information about Fairtrade campaigns, local events and businesses supporting Fairtrade.

In addition, members highlight Elgin coffee outlets and other businesses using Fairtrade products and promote Fairtrade in schools and within the local authority.

Volunteers are now preparing to man the Fairtrade stall at the Christmas farmers markets at both Elgin Academy and Elgin High School.
