The Rotary Elgin bonfire and fireworks display is taking place on Saturday after a break of three years due to Covid restrictions.

Members of Out of the Darkness Theatre Group have made the guy for the top of the bonfire.

Margaret Stenton, of Elgin Rotary, said: "We really are very grateful to the students from this multi-arts group who celebrate their 30th anniversary at the end of this year. The group provides fantastic support to adults with learning difficulties, and as part of their celebrations, they will be participating in the panto 'The Good, The Bad and The DISNAE'".

The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm with the fireworks display following at 7pm in the Cooper Park Elgin.

Entry is free, although cash donations will be very welcome to offset the cost of putting on such a large display.
