ELGIN is in for a night of Irish "toe-tapping magic" when the popular Christmas Country with the Stars returns next month.

Five Irish acts feature in the festive line-up to play at the Town Hall on Sunday, December 15.

Acts include Gary Gamble with his surreal impressions of Daniel O'Donnell; rising young star Owen Mac, who is coming to Scotland for his first time; yodelling Kenny Archer; and truckers' favourite Boxcar Brian.

The performers will showcase their biggest hits with a Christmas flavour in the company of Irish backing band Keltic Storm, now a household name across Scotland.

The show won rave reviews last year. Show promoter James McGarrity said: "Country music is very popular in the area and this is a rare chance to see five great acts on the one stage. It's set to be a terrific night."

Tickets, costing £25, are on sale from Sound and Vision, on South Street, Elgin, on 01343 543778 or from the Town Hall website at www.elgintownhall.co.uk.
