A SECTION of road between Elgin and Rothes is set to close for a six-hour period this week.

The A941 will shut at the last roundabout out of Elgin towards Rothes at 6pm on Wednesday, August 9, and will remain closed until midnight.

The road closure is due to resurfacing works. Drivers will be asked to use Thornhill Road – which runs beside Moray Sports Centre – and rejoin the A941 at Fogwatt.

HGV drivers will have to travel on the A96 and turn off onto the B9015 before returning to the A941.
