Elgin vaccine centre staying open despite weather

The vaccine centre in Elgin will remain open – but people are being advised to attend only if they think it is safe.

An NHS Grampian spokesperson said: "In light of the severe weather expected across the Grampian region over the coming 24 hours, we are encouraging citizens to stay at home.

"Disruption to road networks, debris on roads, and drifting snow are all expected.

"All vaccination centres in Aberdeenshire are now closed.

"The vaccination centres in Aberdeen City and Elgin remain open, but we would urge citizens to only attend these – or any healthcare appointment – if it is safe to do so.

"If you are able to let clinical teams know you cannot attend your appointment, that is appreciated."
