AN ELGIN woman has written a poem dedicated to the many people struggling with mental health issues.
The poem called "my very own morning prayer" reached more than 200 of writer Rachel McIntosh's friends on Facebook.
Ms McIntosh told the Northern Scot: "There is such a stigma on mental health and the more awareness out there the better.
"It sets up baby steps to people actually taking the time to learn about it and understand it.
"I would love to see the stigma fade away into the background and for more funds to be made available so that people can get help more easily.
Sadly, the current system is not equipped to help the large scale problem with mental health Scotland is currently facing."
