ELGIN’S Muckle Cross will celebrate Burns night with a brand-new menu across a week at the end of January.

The Wetherspoons pub will list an extensive menu of brand-new food and drinks from Monday, January 22 to Sunday, January 28.

The traditional haggis, neeps and tatties as well as a Caledonian Burger (two 3oz beef patties, with haggis, whisky sauce, served with chips and six onion rings) will be available throughout the week.

There will also be a selection of drinks for customers to enjoy, including an offer on Nessie’s Monster Mash, a malty, lightly hopped beer served by the Cairngorm Brewery.

Other drinks on offer include whiskies such as Glenmorangie and Glenfiddich, as well as The Famous Grouse and Bell’s.

Beers and gins such as Scotland’s BrewDog Elvis Juice and Hazy Jane craft beer will be on offer and also Hendrick's and Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger.

Muckle Cross pub manager, Leigh Ellis, said: “The seven-day celebration is a great opportunity for our customers to enjoy some traditional Scottish food and drink and to celebrate for longer than just January 25.”
